The Glasshouse is the newly built addition to Barrington House and takes its fantastic position on the site of an old swimming pool within the grounds of Barrington House.
The property has been archictectually designed and, as its name suggests, is mainly built from glass. We like to think it looks a bit like a very upmarket boathouse and it certainly has a WOW factor.
Attention to detail and thoughtful planning flow from one room to the next and it has a wonderful open, spacious and relaxing feeling.

CASTLE VIEW ROOM
Neutral tones and light oak furniture are set off by a wall of floor to ceiling windows in this stunning king size bedroom.
Open the doors to find yourself on a juliette balcony with only glass separating you from those fabulous views of the River Dart.
Look the other way and you will be greeted by a spacious walk in wardrobe and a beautiful ensuite with a large walk in shower.
HARBOUR VIEW ROOM
You really do feel like you are beside the sea in this nautically inspired room.
Tastefully decorated in ocean blues and conveniently flexible so that it can be arranged as 2 single beds or 1 very big bed. Either way you will be blown away by the breathtaking sea and river views from your juliette balcony.
THE KITCHEN
The kitchen has all the latest appliances and gadgets and we think you will enjoy using the filtered cold water tap, induction hob, Nespresso machine and wine fridge.
The nearby cloakroom and utility room is very handy for housing the washing machine and tumble dryer and hiding all those things you don’t really want to see.
THE BIG BATHROOM
This bathroom definitely has a wow factor.
With its deep bath, wall mounted taps, walk in shower and ambient lighting you will want to soak away for hours.
GARDEN VIEW ROOM
Occupying the whole of the ground floor, this room could be described as a dance floor! However, we hope you agree that with its clever planning and furnishings it is a fantastic room in which you can relax, cook, eat, drink and enjoy.
Throw open the bi-folding doors in the summer and catch the breeze or get all comfy and cosy in the winter and put on the impressive wall hung gas fire.
THE GORGEOUS GARDEN
The outside space is just perfect – very private and very pretty. The garden has been beautifully designed with a circular lawn, beachside pebbles and wonderful purple planting. Its big enough for a game of swing ball but also perfect for an intimate dinner on the deck or a lunchtime BBQ in the sun.
Being south facing you not only see the sun rising but you also get the lovely evening sun. The sea and country views from the deck are just wonderful. Outdoor furniture and of course a BBQ are all provided along with a play boat for the children to enjoy and feel like they really are on holiday by the sea.
