Younger Guests
Our description of Barrington House, The Penthouse and The Glasshouse so far do sound very sophisticated and glamorous but you will be pleased to hear that we are baby and child friendly. Having 3 children ourselves, we know how important it is to be able to stay somewhere where you can truly relax even with the youngest children. However, please note that The Penthouse is suitable for children over the age of 12 only.
All our properties are very well equipped and the list of facilities provided for children is vast (See facilities page). Anything we don’t have we can get for you! We hope we have negated the need for a roof box or trailer!
As well as the long list of facilities, we have also got lots of ‘child friendly’ ideas which will hopefully appeal to our younger guests and parents alike!
KEEPING YOU SAFE
Safety is of course of paramount importance and the one feature of our properties which we must draw your attention to are the balconies. They are not dangerous and are built to building regulation specifications, however children must be supervised at all times when the balcony doors are open.
BABYSITTING
We can recommend some reliable, experienced and friendly babysitters and also have an extensive collection of children’s books and DVDs to help entertain your children.
We also provide an up to date list of all the latest family and children’s activities in Dartmouth and the local area. We can also advise on the best days out and fun places to go with children and the most child friendly restaurants.
Dressing Up Boxes
Dig deep to find some wonderful outfits, whether you are into superheroes or princesses, there’s something for everybody.
Crab Fishing Contest
We provide the buckets and the lines, all you need to do is get the best bait and try and beat our record of 123 crabs in one hour!
Top spots for crabbing include the embankment in Dartmouth and the pontoons in Dittisham!
BARRINGTON BOO
We have a gorgeous little cockapoo called Boo who you may well see on her daily walks.
She loves to meet guests and has been known to jump in their cars so make sure you check your car before you leave!
